Description

Improved! After receiving customer feedback on the length of the mattress being too short, we conferred with the manufacturer. The issue stemmed from the compression of the mattress. The manufacturer has addressed the issue, and the mattresses will be a full 74 inches in length (standard twin size). Please remember that because this is a compressed mattress, it requires 24 hours to fully expand to its actual size.

With sturdy, solid wood construction and guard rails for safety, this twin over twin bunk bed set is a stand out piece. Designed for function and built kid tough. Rustic, scalloped designs and a warm honey pine finish add style to this piece. Each headboard has a built in headboard adding to is use. A sturdy ladder makes the top bunk easily accessible. Each bed comes with a bunkie board and included twin mattresses as well. This appealing look will add beauty and space to your childs room.  Weight capacity is 250 lbs for top bunk.


Mattress included is the Super Sleep Mattress. Perfectly sized for bunk beds, trundles, or daybeds, the Super Sleep Mattress is a good-quality twin mattress with a gray cover. The Sta-rite inner quilted cotton pad offers extra comfort, and a rolled innerspring with 288 coils provides medium-firm support. The cover is smooth with a single taped edge. Mattress measures 74L x 38W x 6.75H inches.


We take your family's safety seriously. That's why all of our bunk beds come with a bunkie board, slat pack, or metal grid support system. These provide complete mattress support and secure the mattress within the bunk bed frame. Please note: Bunk beds and loft beds are only to be used by children 6 years of age or older.

    My girls love this set. My 4-year-old has no problems climbing up and down the ladder. It's sturdy and should last a long time. Because they are sturdy, they are a bit heavy. Would want some help getting them on top of each other. Free mattresses are decent. Not the best, but for bunk beds and kids, they are just fine.

      The bunk bed is very solid giving us peace that it is safe for the kids. However, the finish was terrible. We are currently re-finishing it because of the rough spots and splinters. The assembly instructions are poor, but it does not take long to figure out on your own. [...] Very solid piece of furniture for the price, but count on re-finishing it when you receive it.

        We are using this bunkbed in a children's room where a young child (3 yo) sleeps in the lower bed. We will continue this arrangement (changing children in about 3 years) for at least 5 or 6 years. We really like how this piece of furniture looks and it feels very sturdy for a parent to climb up on the top bunk and change the sheets, etc. There is not enough room for even an older child (age 10) to sit up under the bunk--the deck is very short. This is not necessarily a bad thing; we live in a house with short-ish (8 ft) ceilings. Probably 2 or 3 inches higher would have been nice. The wire crosspieces that are designed to prevent the bunky boards from falling through are weird; we changed it from the directions and either attached underneath or at the ends of the wooden edge parts.

        Finish is extra rough (matte finish). Rustic or country look is great, but too rough for kids to bump into without a scrape. We will be sanding this in the future, but it would have been better to have it smooth in the first place.

        We love the bookshelves. The kids love the headboard bookshelves. Very, very popular.

        The free mattresses are fine for the young kids (6 and 3) that are sleeping on them; I wouldn't be comfortable sleeping on them.

          The bed came in several boxes, packed very well. What most impressed me was that it seemed like the bed had just been made...for me (date stamp May 2009) and the stain was fresh. It went together very well and my kids love it. I'm currently using the beds as side by side twins but will bunk it once my oldest has his birthday. The bookshelves are great and I love the bunky boards. A great investment that is made very well.
